A professional organization of Washington State coroners and medical examiners  and their deputies, charged with the execution and enforcement of state law; 


To provide for the prompt exchange of information pertaining to the duties, methods and official practices of the members; 


To provide for the continuing education in all matters relating to coroners/medical examiners and the safety and welfare of the public; 


To promote communication and cooperation with law enforcement and the medical community and with other individuals and agencies involved in death investigation. 


To serve the public with respectful caring for the deceased, compassion for the living and safeguarding of property. 




  • 1. To elevate the standards of the Office of Coroner in each county 

    2. To secure unity of action in matter's relating to the Coroner's duties 

    3. To promote the adoption of more scientific methods for detection of crime

    4. To foster good cooperation between Coroners and other Law Enforcement Officials

    5. To recommend desirable changes in the present state statues 
        relating to the duties of the Office of Coroner and to 
        promote legislation this is deemed desirable 

    6. To promote a better understanding with the public respecting 
        the nature of services rendered by Coroners of the State of Alabama

    7. To secure a closer official and personal relationship among
        Coroners and Deputy Coroners
